01

No microphone or no recording

Check Windows microphone access, the connected input device, and General's microphone selection. Confirm the actual hotkey and finish any open hotkey-capture dialog. Test the chosen tap-to-toggle or press-and-hold behavior with a short phrase.

02

Recording finishes but no text appears

Check connectivity and the public status page. Keep the destination field focused, then inspect Home's transcript and output. Try a normal Notepad document to distinguish a destination permission issue from processing failure. Avoid repeatedly submitting the same request without checking the result.

03

Wrong words, tone, or context

Verify Speech Language, personal dictionary spelling, Auto Replace Keywords, and the correct channel's Dictational Tone. For Assistant context, check processor eligibility, available credits, selected passage, visible primary screen, active Scratchpad page, and the relevant indexing switches.

04

Sign-in or verification fails

Check the email address, spam folder, newest verification code, and resend cooldown. Keep the app open for a Google browser sign-in return. Use Forgot password for recovery rather than sharing credentials with someone offering help.

05

Purchase or plan is missing

Check the signed-in account and the checkout result, then use Refresh plan or Sync purchases. Compare Current and Scheduled plan state and included versus purchased balances. Contact support before buying the same item again.

06

An action did not do what you expected

Inspect the destination tool page for a created reminder, timer, note, dictionary entry, or stopwatch. Assistant supports defined actions, not arbitrary desktop automation. Make the requested task and time explicit. Use manual controls for later editing or removal, then send support a non-sensitive reproduction if a supported action still fails.
